Description
The Department of Police Work is seeking a temporary HR Coordinator who wants to work broadly within the HR field.
The position is a temporary contract for 12 months with a start date of April 1 or by agreement.
At the Department of Police Work, police education is conducted on behalf of the Swedish Police Authority. We constantly focus on developing professional police officers who act for a safer society, for the development of Swedish police, and for lifelong learning. Within the main area of police work, we also offer independent courses, a master's program, and from autumn 2025, Sweden's first doctoral studies in the field of police science. We also conduct further training for police officers as well as other external education and external research activities. The department is led by a director and currently has 35 employees. The department also purchases teaching services from several other institutions and from the Swedish Police Authority – a total of about eighty employees are involved in the operations. Responsibilities
As an HR Coordinator, you will work operationally and strategically and serve as a close support to the department's director and management. The tasks primarily consist of recruitment, rehabilitation, and labor law advice based on applicable legislation, agreements, and guidelines.
As an HR Coordinator, you will initiate and participate in developing personnel-related routines and working methods within the department, you will be responsible for planning and introducing new employees, and you will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering rehabilitation processes. The tasks include ongoing personnel administrative work such as administration of recruitment and employment matters as well as handling cases within the university's personnel administrative system.
The administrative work also includes coordination of cases and invitations to internal meetings, as well as taking minutes at meetings regarding work environment, union collaboration, and the director's decision-making meetings. Other administrative tasks may also be included, and the responsibilities may change over time.
Qualifications
For this position, we are looking for someone with a degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent and experience from independent work within the HR field. The work requires knowledge of laws and agreements within the HR area.
Experience in HR work in a large organization, preferably a university or college, is an advantage. You should have good computer skills, and it is also advantageous if you have worked with the university's personnel administrative systems Primula, Varbi, and Adato. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
The variation in tasks is significant, and you should thrive in an environment with many ongoing tasks simultaneously and with many points of contact. You should also be able to collaborate easily and have good planning skills where you can prioritize your tasks and have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work.
